Collabtive on CentOS
Installing Collabtive on CentOS
Assumes you have Apache installed and running with PHP and you have mbstring installed.
]# cd /var/www/html
]# mkdir collabtive
]# cd collabtive
]# yum install unzip
]# wget http://downloads.sourceforge.net/project/collabtive/collabtive/0.7/collabtive07.zip # This may need to be modified for newer versions.
]# unzip collabtive07.zip
Login into you mysql server and run (XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX = the IP address that has access or you can make this localhost myCollabtivePassword is the password you want to assign):
CREATE DATABASE collabtive;
GRANT ALL ON collabtive.* TO 'collabtive'@'XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX' IDENTIFIED BY 'myCollabtivePassword';
Log out of mysql and return to command line at /var/www/html/collabtive
]# chmod 777 templates_c
]# chmod 777 config/standard/config.php
]# chmod 777 files
Now browse to where you have your installation at and enter the URL http://wheremycollabtiveisat.com/install.php and you should be all set to follow the setup from the web interface.
